Fluffy French Toast
Prep Time: 10 Min Cook Time: 25 Min Ready In: 30 Min Preheat Oven: 400
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup low fat milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs or substitute 3/4 cup egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 12 thick slices bread
- 2 tbsp butter
Directions
- Measure flour into a large mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisk in the salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sugar until smooth.
- In a griddle or frying pan over medium heat, melt butter.
- Soak bread slices in mixture on each side for 10 seconds (5 seconds if using thin bread slices). Cook bread on each side until golden brown.
- Place French Toast onto baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes at 400 degrees. Serve hot.
