Green Chili Sausage Gravy
From the Kitchen of Sharon Higdon
Ingredients:
1 lb Regular Pork Sausage
8 oz can green chili
½ stick butter
½ cup flour
2 cups half & half
2 cups milk or just 4 cups milk and no half & half
Directions:
Cook sausage in pan until done. Remove sausage from pan leaving drippings. Put butter and flour into pan with sausage drippings and stir into a rue. Add green chili with its liquid and stir all into a paste.
Add half & half and stir. Add sausage back into the rue and stir. Add milk and continue to cok until it thickens to your liking.
