Zucchini Soup

From the Kitchen of Irma Patton

 

Ingredients:

5 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

3 lbs. unpeeled chopped zucchini

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

3 cups water

1 clove garlic

 

Directions:

Combine all ingredients; Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Run through a blender and serve. Tastes very close to split pea soup.
