Butter Cake

Butter Cake

This highly addictive cake takes the spotlight at any party.  With it's sweet taste and smooth creamy texture, there's no cake like it!

Ingredients

1 package yellow cake mix (I use Betty Crocker super moist)

2 sticks of butter (separately melted)

4 eggs

1 16oz box of confectioner's sugar

1 8oz package reduced fat cream cheese (softened)

1 tsp. vanilla extract

 

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.  In a medium bowl, beat teh cake mix, 1 stick of melted butter and 2 eggs until well blended.  The mixture will be fairly stiff. Press into a 9x13 cake pan.

2. In another bowl, beat the other stick of melted butter, 2 eggs, sugar, softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until well blended.  Pour this mixture over the bottom layer and bake for 40 minutes (or until golden brown top and a little jiggly in the center).  Let it cool and place in air tight (or wrap with plastic wrap).  You can decorate the top of the cake with frosting or serve with fruit, but it will be sweet enough by itself!
