Vinegar Stew for Coughs

 Vinegar Stew for Coughs

From the Kitchen of Pearl Hurst

Ingredients:

1 tsp. Vinegar

1 tsp. water

1 tsp. honey

¼ tsp. Margarine

2 shakes black pepper

Directions:

Stir ingredients together and heat until very warm. Take little sips until it is all gone or fill up your mouth and gargle, then swallow. It feels good going down.

The vinegar cuts phlegm, water dilutes the vinegar, honey makes it taste better, the margarine coats the irritated throat and the black pepper is a stimulant. It doesn’t taste as bad as it sounds but it will pucker you up!
